We are about 55 mins away. Please DO NOT Park in the lay by.
We have landed and have collected bags, just waiting for the coach.
I will update later with an ETA
Today we started the day with a walk to Pier 83 to go on the liberty cruise 🚢 and see the sights of New York from the Hudson River.
We then went up to Bryant Park where there was ice skating and market stalls.
For lunch we went to the beautiful Grand Central Station and then finished the trip with a quick look around Central Park
We are now at the airport ready to get some well deserved sleep! 15,000 steps. We are a little angry as Mr Kinsella and James are living the life in the first class lounge! 😩😩🙈 doh!
See you all tomorrow!
Today we left Lake Placid and made our way to Woodbury Common for an afternoon of shopping! 🛍🛍
Lots of presents were bought so parents you are in for a treat!
We then arrived into New York and walked to Times Square to see the famous screens and lights. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and then we walked to the Rockefeller Centre. We went up to the 67th floor to see the view of New York……. but all we saw was white clouds 😩😩🙈 it has been a rainy day and therefore the visibility was awful 😞 typical!
After a crash yesterday James is in high spirts and just upset he has missed his last day skiing.
Mr Kinsella and James will get to fly home first class because James has a brace on his knee. They are both very excited! 👌🏻
Well done James for being so brave and still smiling and making us all laugh! He even managed to get up on the gondola for the group picture
After lunch we all went up the gondola to the very top to see the view of Lake Placid. ❄️👌🏻⛷
Last day of skiing today, the sun is shining but it’s very very cold today with the wind! ❄️
Think all this skiing is getting too much! 😂⛷ pupils don’t want tomorrow to be the last day, they are getting so good now.
Tonight after dinner we went curling. Found a new favourite sport, the Holy Family staff were getting very competitive and we could have stayed there all night.
The pupils for the hang of it and Devers and Tom were great a sweeping the stone. Josh had great lunging technique pushing the stone
We also got to see the rink where the famous miracle on ice in 1980 took place where America beat the favourites, Russia
